Verdict

One favourite has won this in nine renewals. Low numbers are generally best which may rule out Johannes and Bond Fastrac, who both arrive in good form. Jamie Spencer is the regular partner of MY KINGDOM and returns to ride Ian Williams' charge, who has the plum draw. The six-year-old has done nothing wrong apart from continually finding one too good and though climbing the weights without winning this stiff 6f looks ideal so he can gain the seventh success of his career. Another Wise Kid is just 1lb higher than when scoring at Ripon in September and has been going well but Thirsk winner Trade Secret is another drawn high and he's now on his highest ever mark. Mon Brav will enjor returning to quicker ground and looks well enough treated to make his presence felt while the only three-year-old, Byronic Hero, likes it around here having gained both of his victories over the track and trip.
