Not the strongest Group 1 event on record but notable for the return of German Derby winner PASTORIUS. Mario Hofer's colt had the re-opposing Feuerblitz well behind in Hamburg and today's drop back in trip shouldn't be a problem getting plenty of weight from last year's winner Durban Thunder. The latter has joined Warendorf-based trainer Paul Harley since then and has booked nephew Martin Harley to ride. He should be thereabouts at the finish again ahead of another previous Group 1 winner in Zazou and 2011 German Derby winner Waldpark, narrowly beaten in a Group 2 event at Hamburg recently.
