Dual point-to-point winner BALLINAHOW STAR made a promising start to her hurdles career when second at Exeter and went one better on this track earlier this month. The drop in distance is a slight worry for Jeremy Scott's mare under a penalty but the heavy going will make this more a test of stamina than normal and she should be good enough to defy her penalty. She certainly looks a better bet than stablemate Brockwell Park while the well-bred Fair Bramble hasn't raced since finishing third in a bumper in May of last year. Shady Lane could prove the pick of the remainder.
