GREAT BRITAIN BEATEN

4th May 2012, 11:12pm

Great Britain's women were edged out in a scrappy clash with Hungary at the Olympic Water Polo Arena on Friday, going down 17-10.

The home side reached double figures for the first time at the venue, but were made to pay for disappointing second and fourth quarters.

The result was an improvement on Thursday's 10-4 defeat to Australia, though, a fact not lost on head coach Szilveszter Fekete.

"It was a different game to yesterday," said Fekete.

"That was good defence but we were not very focused in attack.

"Today we were better, especially at the beginning. I think we were better in attack than yesterday but it was a good game for the girls to play and they will learn from it."

Great Britain face world champions USA on Saturday.
