Yamile Aldama: Should return to action soon

World indoor triple jump champion Yamile Aldama has received an injury boost after a scan revealed only minor damage to her shoulder.

Aldama landed awkwardly after completing a second-round jump of 14.65 metres in Thursday's Diamond League meeting in Rome, subsequently passing her remaining four attempts.

That was worrying news with the London Olympics on the horizon, but a scan in London on Friday revealed the 39-year-old had stretched a tendon in her shoulder which will take just seven to 10 days to heal.
