Christine Ohuruogu: Will run in London

Christine Ohuruogu has confirmed the Aviva London Grand Prix on July 14 will be her last major race before the Olympics.

The 28-year-old will compete at Crystal Palace ahead of the defence of her 400 metres crown.

The Londoner looks to be coming into form at the right time after running a season's best 50.69 seconds in New York on Saturday.

"I feel the excitement as after a few years held back by injury I am back in good shape," said Ohuruogu, who has been plagued by injury problems since winning gold in Beijing four years ago.

"I still have more work to do in training but everything is on the right track. My preparation hasn't really been different - the programme that worked in 2008 is similar to what we have been doing this year."

"If I am fit and healthy going into a championship I know I will run well.
