Brad Marchand: Netted twice as Boston prevailed
The St Louis Blues were beaten in regulation time for the first time in 22 home NHL games as the Boston Bruins triumphed 4-2 at the Scottrade Center on Wednesday.
Brad Marchand scored twice and Milan Lucic and Chris Kelly were also on the mark for the Bruins, who remain top of the North-East Division after only their fifth win in 12 games. The Blues trail the Detroit Red Wings by five points in the Central Division.
The Ottawa Senators remain hot on Boston's tail after a 5-2 home win over the Washington Capitals. Milan Michalek scored twice and added an assist, while rising star Erik Karlsson recorded a goal and two assists.
The Colorado Avalanche beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 in the night's other game, Paul Stastny scoring twice.
