BRITISH WOMEN DOUBLE UP

3rd June 2012, 11:12pm

Great Britain's women made it back-to-back wins at the quadrangular tournament in Brussels with a convincing victory over hosts Belgium.

Tom Maher's side lost to Germany on Friday night but bounced back with a triumph over Ukraine and they followed that up with a 95-69 win over Belgium.

Guard Natalie Stafford, having contributed 19 points and four rebounds against Ukraine, was again in fine form as she poured in 21 points as well as pulling down six rebounds.

Maher was pleased with the victory but was keen to keep things in perspective, saying: "We're not getting too carried away with the win, we're not at that level to be doing that yet but in these last two games, our positive aggression has jumped to a new level which is great to see."

GB will now play two matches against Canada next weekend in Edinburgh as they continue their Olympic preparations.
