Bradford coach Mick Potter praised his side's determination after they ground out their first Stobart Super League win this season with a 20-10 victory at Castleford.
The Bulls bounced back from their opening-day home defeat against Catalan Dragons with a magnificent defensive display in heavy conditions at the Probiz Coliseum.
"I think the players themselves were pretty determined to have a better outcome," said Potter.
"It was about hard work. They worked their bums off and our tryline defence was excellent.
"We were under a whole heap of pressure either from our own doing from losing the ball or getting marched downfield from penalties.
"Our players defended so well on our tryline to keep Castleford out for long periods. A week makes a big difference."
Potter was pleased with half-backs Luke Gale and Jarrod Sammut. Gale set up an early try for Sammut and landed four goals from four kicks.
"I
thought Luke and Jarrod worked very well together," said Potter.
"When we kept hold of the ball I thought our kick chase was first rate.
"I thought Heath L'Estrange and Matt Diskin helped us get around the park and Brett Kearney was a steady influence as well at full-back.
"Both teams made a heap of errors but that was down to the conditions. It was very heavy today. It was back to winter rugby league and I think we just handled it just that little bit better than them.
"I thought there was no fuss about our intensity under adversity. They were just working together and doing what they needed to do to get the job done."
Tigers coach Ian Millward felt his side's failure to snap up chances cost them dearly but he also admitted the Bulls were the better team.
"I thought Bradford were terrific and the better team won," said Millward.
"It was very heavy underfoot but I thought we had a lot of opportunities to score tries. Our completion was quite low in the first-half but Bradford's was very high.
"We threatened to score quite a few times but we were pulled up short. We just weren't as clinical as we could be in attack. We were just a bit off the pace attacking-wise.
"We just didn't get the right plays at the right spot and build the right pressure when we were really threatening. The match was a game of inches and missed opportunities and not being able to build up sustained pressure.
"Bradford took their opportunities and I thought their attitude today was fantastic after coming off a tough loss.
"I liked the way their halves were very probing and meticulous. From a collective point of view Bradford were very good.
"In the conditions they were the most consistent team and kicking-wise they were better than us. Obviously, they had less errors and when they had opportunities they nailed them."
