Scott Moore: Will face Swinton

Controversial hooker Scott Moore will begin his second spell with Huddersfield on Sunday after being named in coach Nathan Brown's team to play Swinton in the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

The 24-year-old Moore, who played for the Giants in the 2009 final at Wembley during a season-long loan from St Helens, has returned to the Galpharm Stadium after being released by Widnes just six games into a three-year contract.

"Scott will come in and play this weekend," said Brown.

"He has been back for two weeks now training hard and doing plenty of work.

"It will be a good game for him to integrate back in with the boys. There have been some changes since Scott was last here.

"It will be interesting to see how he goes but I am sure he will do a good solid job."

Moore, who is planning to make a fresh start after a chequered past, is moving from his Leigh home to Huddersfield as part of the deal he has signed with the Giants to the end of the season.

He was dropped by Huddersfield as a disciplinary measure for missing training in the aftermath of their 2009 Cup final appearance. He was also suspended by St Helens last season following an off-field incident and was sacked by Widnes for another breach of club discipline.

Meanwhile, Brown is resting several players, including captain Kevin Brown and winger Jermaine McGillvary, but is still able to select from a strong squad for the tie against the Championship part-timers.

"We have prepared for this game as we would for any other," he said.

"We will still be fielding a strong squad.

"A few blokes won't be playing due to injury or they are in need of a rest. But everyone who plays will have had some Super League experience this year, we won't be putting out a team of youngsters."
