Carmont: Wigan centre returns to face Hull KR

Wigan Warriors could move to the top of the Stobart Super League table on Friday with success over Hull KR at the DW Stadium.

Shaun Wane's troops are two points behind league leaders Huddersfield Giants, who take on Catalan Dragons on Saturday.

Wigan, who beat Hull KR home and away last season, have won four straight in the league while the visitors have won two in a row.

Warriors boss Wane has centre George Carmont back after missing the Cup win at Featherstone with a slight quad strain.

Jack Hughes makes way but Anthony Gelling is set to keep his place on the wing.

Forward Ben Flower is also included in coach Wane's initial squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Wane has identified Australian stand-off Blake Green as the biggest threat to his side.

"They have been up and down but the big difference is Blake Green now he's come back from his illness," said Wane.

KR boss Craig Sandercock will be boosted by the long-awaited debut of prop Ryan O'Hara, who has come through two reserve games unscathed.

Fellow front rower Joel Clinton is back from an ankle injury and Liam Watts is also in contention, Jason Netherton dropping out of the team that beat London a fortnight ago.

Centre Jake Webster will be the only absentee from the squad, and Sandercock is pleased to go into the toughest game with many of his key players available for selection.

"Most teams at the start of the season have a full-strength squad to choose from, but unfortunately we were five men down before a ball had been kicked," he commented. "To get the majority of players back is pleasing."

Wigan: Tomkins, Charnley, Goulding, Carmont, Finch, Leuluai, Prescott, McIlorum, Mossop, Hansen, Hock, O'Loughlin, Lima, Farrell, Tuson, Lauaki, Flower, Gelling, Hughes.

Hull K R: McDonnell, Hall, Galea, Salter, Withers, O'Hara, Watts, Clinton, Taylor, Lovegrove, J. Hodgson, Paea, Horne, Murrell, Dobson, D. Hodgson, Mika, Welham, Green.
