Hull coach Peter Gentle knows his side will have to tighten up defensively if they are to snap their three-game losing streak when they face Leeds Rhinos on Saturday.
Having enjoyed a six-match winning run earlier in the season, Hull have been suffered a slump in form.
And after seeing his side concede 98 points in their last two fixtures, Gentle is targeting a big improvement in defence.
"As a group we have been very disappointed with our defence over the past few matches and that is something we must put right against a very good Leeds team," he said.
"They are not world champions for nothing and they will punish every mistake we make so we have to be on our game and willing to work hard for each other.
"Defensively, we have let ourselves down recently and we have gone away from that has been working for us.
"It is something that we have spoken about at training and I am confident people will see a much better defensive display from us."
History, though, is firmly with the champions, who have won their last 11 matches against Hull, including six in a row at the KC Stadium.
