Reigning champions Featherstone conceded 60 points at home for the second successive time in the Co-operative Championship.

Rovers, who beat Super League neighbours Castleford in the Challenge Cup and ran Wigan close in their next tie, failed to repeat their heroics in the league, going down 60-12 to leaders Halifax.

Featherstone, who crashed to a 60-40 defeat by Sheffield Eagles in their previous Championship home game, are now sixth in the table at the halfway stage.

Forward Ross Divorty scored a hat-trick of tries and Lee Paterson kicked 10 goals for Halifax, who remain a point in front of Batley and Dewsbury.

The Bulldogs produced their biggest win of the season with a 48-0 rout of Hunslet at South Leeds Stadium, where they led 20-0 at half-time.

Wingers Gareth Potts and Alex Brown scored six tries between them and loan signing James Grehan registered his first try for John Kear's men.

Dewsbury ran in five tries in a 29-22 victory over Keighley at the Tetley's Stadium to keep the pressure on the leaders, while Leigh are just a point further back after winning 34-32 at Sheffield.

The Eagles outscored their visitors by six tries to five but Martyn Ridyard kicked seven goals to provide the difference.

Stand-off Ryan Brierley, who is on loan to the Centurions from Castleford, continued his impressive try record for his new club, who led 24-14 at the break and withstood a tremendous fightback by the home side.

Swinton beat bottom-of-the-table York 32-12 in the televised game at Leigh Sports Village, where former St Helens centre Tom Armstrong scored two of their six tries.
