Hull KR have revealed that teenage forward Jordan Cox has suffered a ruptured spleen.

The 19-year-old prop, who has made eight Super League appearances so far this season, fell ill after playing in the Robins' Under-20s match at Wigan last Saturday.

He was admitted to Wigan Infirmary but is on his way to making a full recovery and is expected to return home in the next few days.

Rovers chief executive Mike Smith said: "It was obviously a serious problem for Jordan and we're delighted that he's on the mend."
