SHEFFIELD GO SECOND

Sheffield Eagles climbed to second place in the Co-operative Championship with a 42-10 win over Dewsbury at Bramall Lane.

The Eagles never looked back after Papua New Guinea centre Menzie Yere scored two tries inside the opening 16 minutes, both goaled by Simon Brown.

Joe Hirst, Nev Morrison and Misi Taulapapa also scored before half-time when Sheffield led 30-0 and Brown added a sixth try early in the second half.

Ayden Faals pulled a try back for the Rams but Andrew Henderson added a seventh for the Eagles before James Craven claimed a consolation effort for the visitors.
