GIANTS BOOSTED BY LEE RETURN

Nathan Brown: Insists morale in the camp has been good in training

Two teams with contrasting form guides meet on Monday night as the slumping Huddersfield Giants entertain Hull Kingston Rovers.

Nathan Brown's Giants have lost four straight in Stobart Super League action, form that has seen them slip from the top of the table into fifth.

The Robins are a side on the up having won three in a row, including a remarkable 17-point second-half comeback to beat the Warrington Wolves last Sunday.

Hull KR are looking to secure a league double over the West Yorkshire team after beating them 40-22 on home soil earlier in the campaign.

Huddersfield are boosted by the return of Tommy Lee, someone that Brown believes has been a huge miss to the first team.

Captain Kevin Brown and David Faiumu also return, but centre Joe Wardle (groin) has been ruled out of action for up to 10 weeks.

One could be forgiven for thinking morale in the Giants camp is low, but Brown is pleased with the character shown this week.

"All week the morale has been good and the commitment to training and everything was great as it always is," explained Brown.

"If the group keep coming together and be committed to each other and work on the small parts of the game then we will turn these results around."

Jake Webster has been named in Craig Sandercock's 19-man squad for Monday's trip along the M62, while Joel Clinton will undergo a late fitness test.

Sandercock is not a fan of playing on a Monday night, but has no real issue as long it remains consistent for every team.

"Personally, I'd rather not play on a Monday night but I understand the reasons for it," explained Sandercock.

"As long as everyone gets a fair crack at it, and nobody gets too many Monday nights, that's all I can ask."

Huddersfield squad: Lawrence, Cudjoe, Gilmour, Brown, Brough, Crabtree, Robinson, Mason, Fa'alogo, Faiumu, Patrick, Ferguson, Chan, Lee, George, Murphy, Cording, Eden, Moore.

Hull K R squad: McDonnell, Hall, Galea, Horne, Withers, O'Hara, Webster, Clinton, Taylor, Lovegrove, J. Hodgson, Paea, Latus, Murrell, Dobson, D. Hodgson, Mika, Welham, Netherton.
