Queensland forward Ashley Harrison has been ruled out of next week's State of Origin decider with a broken toe.
Scans on Monday revealed Harrison has a fracture to the big toe of his right foot in a blow to the Maroons' hopes of claiming a seventh straight series win at Suncorp Stadium a week on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old is likely to be out for up to month with Brisbane pair Corey Parker and Ben Te'o in contention to replace him.
"I'm really disappointed I can't be part of a decider in my home town," Harrison said.
"It wouldn't be fair on myself and the team as I wouldn't have been able to prepare the way I should for such an important game.
"I've got full faith in whoever is selected that they can get the job done and I'd like to wish the Queensland team the best of luck for next Wednesday night."
