Rangi Chase: Wait to decide his future

Rangi Chase: Wait to decide his future

Rangi Chase's prospects of a return to Australia are being thwarted by a contract dispute between agents.

Castleford's 2011 Man of Steel is in talks with his old club St George Illawarra after his proposed move to Hull fell through because of visa difficulties.

Australian agent Chris Orr, the long-time manager of the England international who says he is owed money by the half-back, maintains the player is under contract with him until next summer but that is being disputed by another agent, France-based Greg Keenan.

Manager of the accredited player agent scheme Paul Massey confirmed his organisation was looking into the dispute.

"The current management arrangements are under review," Massey told the Sydney Morning Herald. "Until such time as that's resolved, no contract can be signed."

Talks are set to continue between representatives of the two agents over the weekend, when Chase is due to return from England's high-altitute training camp in South Africa.
