Justin Poore: Will debut for Wakefield on Boxing Day

Wakefield's new signing Justin Poore will make his debut for the Wildcats in their Boxing Day clash against the Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.

The 27-year old former New South Wales prop joined the Super League club on a two-year deal from the Parramatta Eels in October.

Poore is regarded as one of the team's biggest signings in years and fans will get the chance to see his ability in the 11:30am kick-off against their Yorkshire rivals on December 26.

Wakefield won their final seven league games of last season, including a win over the Rhinos on home soil, before their campaign was ended in the play-offs with a 42-20 loss against the Grand Final winners.

Wildcats captain Danny Kirmond believes Richard Agar's squad have their tails up going into 2013, telling the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It has been tough, as pre-season always is, but there's a bit of a buzz about the place after last year.

"We really want to improve on that and that's maybe why the attitude has been so good."
