Fly-half David Harvey has re-signed with the Western Force until the end of the 2013 season.

Harvey, who has played seven matches since making his Super 15 debut in round four, had already extended his initial four-week contract until the end of this campaign, and is delighted with the faith shown in him.

"To get another year on top of that is unbelievable and something that I had hoped would be an option at the end of this season, but for it to come so early is a fantastic feeling," he said.

After dominating the Sydney local competition, Harvey has easily adjusted to life in Perth.

"I love it here. Everyone has been really welcoming. The fans are the best I've experienced and it's a lot quieter than Sydney, which has been really relaxing," he said.

"The Western Force have a set-up that is second to none and the coaching staff that we have in place here are very straightforward and very understanding."

The former Australian Sevens representative initially joined the club after a stint at French club Narbonne.

After taking on kicking duties at the Force against the Waratahs in round four, Harvey has played every game for the club.
