Jake Abbott: Has scored 11 tries in 49 appearances

Talented back-rower Jake Abbott has committed his future to Worcester Warriors.

The 24-year-old was already contract to the Sixways club until 2013 - however he has been rewarded for a series of promising performances with a new extension.

England Sevens international Abbott, a product of the Warriors academy, has scored 11 tries in 49 games for the club.

And head coach Richard Hill believes there is even more to come from Abbott.

"Jake is another young player at the Warriors who has impressed with his displays and the hunger he always brings to the game," said Hill told the club's official site.

"He is Worcester through and through and his enthusiasm is infectious while his performances during last season just got better and better. Jake is always willing to learn and get better so we are lucky to have him and Matt Kvesic, two outstanding number sevens, at the club.

"We have rewarded him with an extension to his contract on the back of his performances. He told us at the start of last season that he would play first-team rugby for us and he been proven right and backed up everything he said he would do."
