North Wales Crusaders have added former British and Irish Lion Andy Titterrell to their coaching staff.

The former England hooker has swapped codes to become the head of strength and conditioning at the Championship One side.

A former Premiership winner with Sale and a three-cap Lion, Titterrell most recently played for Leeds Carnegie.

"Two things attracted me to this job," Titterrell said.

"One was the opportunity to head up a conditioning side in rugby league. Although I've had many years in union, I've got massive respect for rugby league and that's an avenue that I wanted to explore.

"The second was the opportunity to work with coach Clive Griffiths who I've worked under before. I think he's fantastic, his record speaks for itself really and I'm pleased to have teamed up with him to be part of his management side."
