South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer has handed Jacques Potgieter his debut for the final Test against England in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
Potgieter comes into the side after Willem Alberts was ruled out through injury, with the 26-year-old Bulls flanker having impressed Meyer this season.
Meyer has made two other changes to the starting XV that saw off the tourists in Johannesburg.
With Pat Lambie also sidelined, Gio Aplon starts at full-back, while Wynand Olivier is handed the No.12 jersey as Frans Steyn is getting married.
There are a further two changes on the bench, with Elton Jantjies poised to win his first cap while Ryan Kankowski replaces Keegan Daniel.
"Injuries have forced us to make a number of changes, which is never ideal, but this provides an opportunity for players like Gio, Wynand and Jacques to put up their hands," said Meyer.
"Gio is our third full-back of the series, but he's experienced and has been part of our planning. Wynand came on as a replacement in both of the first two Tests and knows our game plan, while Jacques has impressed this year as a very strong ball carrier - hopefully he can continue with the good work Willem has done in the last fortnight."
