Andrea Masi: Will turn out for Wasps next season

London Wasps have confirmed the signing of experienced Italy centre Andrea Masi.

The 31-year-old, who has been capped 69 times and was the RBS Six Nations Player of the Championship in 2011, will team up with Wasps after playing for Aironi last season.

Prior to his spell with the now-defunct RaboDirect PRO12 side, Masi had starred for Viadana, Biarritz and Racing Metro.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: "Andrea is a versatile player with proven quality and he will be bringing with him some vital experience from the highest level of the game.

"We are always looking to add real international quality to our squad and I see him as giving us great depth in our back-line."

Masi, who will team up with fellow Italian international Fabio Staibano at Adams Park, added: "I am really excited and honoured to be joining such a great European club and I am hoping that I can add something to the club both on and off the field."
