Philipp Kohlschreiber: Victory on home soil
Home favourite Philipp Kohlschreiber won the BMW Open in Munich with a straight-sets win over Marin Cilic in the final on Sunday.
Kohlschreiber, the fourth seed, defeated the third-seeded Croatian 7-6 (10/8) 6-3 in one hour 48 minutes.
Cilic was made to pay for not taking his chances on the Kohlschreiber serve as the German saved seven out of eight break points and converted the two which came his way.
