Martin Klizan: Comfortable passage
Seventh seed Martin Klizan of Slovakia reached the second round of the Croatia Open in Umag with a 6-2 6-2 win over Slovenian wild card Aljaz Bedene.
World number 60 Klizan needed 77 minutes to complete his victory, breaking Bedene three times in the first set and two more in the second.
Russian wild card Andrey Kuznetsov squeezed past Daniel Munoz-De La Nava 6-3 7-5 7-6 (7/5) in three minutes short of three hours, and Germany's Matthias Bachinger beat Joao Sousa of Portugal 6-7 (5/7) 6-1 7-6 (8/6).
