French Open finalist Sara Errani continued her impressive year by claiming the Italiacom Open title in Palermo.
The top-seed had little trouble in claiming her fourth title of the year as she swept aside Laura Robson's semi-final conqueror Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 6-1 6-3.
The victory ensured Errani became the first Italian to win four titles in a year after previous successes in Budapest, Barcelona and Acapulco.
She did not drop a set all week, losing only 20 games as she improved her record on clay this season to 29-4.
Errani said: "It wasn't easy like the score looks - Barbora was playing very aggressively and it was tough for me. In some moments of the match I was a little bit nervous, and she was able to come back into the match at those times, but at the end of the match I played very well and was able to close it out."
On her unique feat of four tournament wins, she added: "I wasn't thinking about the record today, but I'm very happy to have the record - to win four tournaments in a season is incredible for me.
"It's a magic period for me. This year I've played some fantastic tennis on clay, losing only a few matches, but I really want to improve my results on hard and grass."
