Persistent rain prevented any hope of completing the four scheduled second-round matches at the Swedish Open in Bastad.
Spanish third seed Anabel Medina Garrigues was leading home hope Johanna Larsson 3-1 while Israeli Shahar Peer had lost the opening game of her encounter with Mathilde Johansson of France before the heavens opened .
The remaining second round matches as well as the quarter-finals are set to be played on Friday.
