Kohlschreiber: Two wins in one day

Kohlschreiber: Two wins in one day

Philipp Kohlschreiber saw off two opponents on a busy day of tennis in Kitzbuhel to claim a place in the last four of the Bet-At-Home Cup.

The top seed first completed his second-round match against Hungary's Attila Balazs, winning 6-4 6-1, before then overcoming Lukas Rosol 6-4 2-6 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

Rain had decimated Wednesday's order of play, with several players forced to contest two matches on Thursday as organisers looked to make up lost time.

Third seed Robin Haase was one of those players. The Dutchman beat home favourite Philipp Oswald 6-4 3-6 6-2 and then eased past Wayne Odesnik 6-2 6-4.

Filippo Volandri of Italy upset Spanish fourth seed Albert Ramos 6-4 6-4 in the second round and then booked a safe passage into the last four, beating Rogerio Dutra Silva of Brazil by the same scoreline.

Silva had earlier completed his second-round match against Ernests Gulbis, ending the challenge of the seventh seed 6-4 6-4.

Martin Klizan of Slovakia had just one outing, battling past Simone Bolelli 1-6 7-5 6-1 to reach the semi-finals.
