Azarenka: Eased to a 6-4 6-0 victory

Top seed Victoria Azarenka progressed to the semi-finals of the WTA Generali Ladies in Linz but second seed Ana Ivanovic bowed out.

The Belarusian world number one, fresh from her China Open success, made light work of Croatian Petra Martic, cruising to a 6-2 6-2 success.

And Azarenka's hopes of more silverware were increased as Ivanovic suffered a 6-4 6-0 defeat to unseeded Belgian Kirsten Flipkens.

Elsewhere fifth-seeded Julia Goerges claimed a comfortable 6-1 6-4 success over Swede Sofia Arvidsson.

The victory for Goerges sets up a semi-final clash against Flipkens, while Azarenka takes on Irina-Camelia Begu, who beat Bethanie Lynn Mattek-Sands 6-4 1-6 6-2.
